Male-trans and female-trans would have to become classes for them to compete fairly. Hormone levels would have to be within a certain range for each class.
It would be completely fair to let everyone compete with everyone (females, males, trans, etc…).
You only need to have people compete with people with about the same level. (so the game is interesting for everyone)
Fairness is being equal. Male and female bodies are not equal.
They may be equal enough for some sports classes, but not all.
What does "being equal" mean exactly ? what properties should be equal ?
It's fairly obvious that men and women are better at different physical tasks. The records in various sports are drastically different by gender. In hockey, for instance, the US olympic women's team frequently loses to high school boys' teams.
Obviously there should be an exception in co-ed sports
It would drastically reduce with who trans can compete.
Taking PEDs reduces who you can compete with. Hormone therapy or naturally high male testosterone can be classed as a PED.
The reason to forbid PED is that if it wasn’t forbidden in sports, most would take them to do better, and everyone would be worst of because it induce health problems and cost
Allowing natural hight testosterone don’t induce this problem.(the rules of sports will not make it more hight)
They probably shouldn't compete against the same genetic sex either.
This would give trans-females an advantage and trans-males a disadvantage.
What could give you a advantage :
If you remove all sources of advantages, you can only have draw or random 50/50 results.
The premise isn't about removing all advantages.
Sports are regulated to create classes of fairness.
If some advantages are "fair", and others advantages are "unfair", then we should define which one and why.
It would uselessly hurt people feelings.
It could hurt peoples feelings to allow them to compete.
Their advantage or disadvantage could physically or mentaly hurt them or their opponents.
