Forcing anyone to do anything(outside of things needed to sustain life) hardly works without some major drawbacks. Someone who doesn't care about the political system won't care anymore when forced to vote. Also, scheduling such a task is very difficult in the US currently.

Although food is essential, meat itself isn't necessarily required. We have enough substitutes to justify a luxury tax.

Meat is fairly expensive and with our supply chain in the US getting meat to a location is often times harder because of storage issues. Nuts are cheaper and shelf stable

Banning someone's ability to express sexuality almost de facto makes it taboo. Putting something into a game that no one cares about causes nothing to occur. By making a big deal of it, you're saying there is something wrong with it.
