The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster should be seen and respected as a legitimate Religion (not just U.S, internationally)
Why would any religion be "respected", though? And what is "respect"? What is "legitimate"? The contention relies on undefined and very vague terms.
In modern day United States, political participation amongst citizens doesn't make a difference.
What is "political participation"? It seems that the contention conflates "political participation" with "voting in general elections". Those things are very different though.
From an evolutionary standpoint, homosexuality is an unfavorable trait.
Only having sex with men makes you heterosexual if you are a woman.
Evolution is not observable.

Socialism is more effective at poverty reduction and ensuring the meeting of basic needs than capitalism
"Socialism" could mean any number of very different things, from Roosevelt's New Deal to Stalinism, and from hippy communes to German social democracy.
Property is theft.
Theft however presuposes property: there can be no theft of something that is not property. Ergo, the contention is self-contradictory.
The government should be required to use open source software (for civilian operations at least)
When the software crashes, who does the government address to solve the problem, and who does it sue in order to get repaid for the eventual losses?
