Yes. However the desire to know truth is different than the belief that one is right. My observation is that there are some users who are so convinced in what they already believe that they do things to manipulate the argument maps such as reporting "fallacy" for things they do not agree with, etc.
Thinking an argument is right or wrong doesn't stop people presenting their arguments and honing their critical thinking skills. If you aren't enjoying an argument maybe it's because you aren't open-minded enough and think you're right.
