Being a human is a crucial consideration. I agree that it's not the only one, but it should be where we start. *This is a little baby we're talking about.* Only after that is agreed can more difficult considerations be made, like what to do if the *baby* is putting the mother's life at risk.

If pain were the only consideration than murdering someone in their sleep, or in any way that they don't feel it, should be legal. We must recognize that human life is precious, whether it's a healthy adult, an elderly person, or a baby that is either inside or outside the womb.
