With the increasing robotic automation in the world, it will become necessary to switch to communism to ensure happiness for the largest amount of people.

Capitalism often creates false scarcity when a good isn't scarce(such as in digital goods).
A Universal Basic Income accomplishes this goal more effectively, because it still uses markets to distribute resources. While markets obviously don't work for all things, they tend to work better than central control.
This will not really work until the whole of everything is automated because then some people can do nothing and recieve benefits anyway while others are working very hard
It's not in the best interest for the actually influential people to increase happiness for everyone, and as automation removes the need for workforce (which was needed in the rise of capitalism or the USSR), the masses will not be moved in favor of communism and will instead be hampered.
A benevolent absolute dictatorship can also provide the same "happiness" maximization and is more tried and tested as a political model.
Communism relies on the community making informed political decisions in trivial time as a collective which is hard to achieve even with the internet today.
Do not confuse communism with other forms of economy. Communism is a centralised system. With robots the cost of manufacturing an object get to 0 if robots can harvest raw materials (metal, corn...) and repair themselves. This would mean the cost of everything is 0 Just like the economy in startrek.
